MEET YOUR 2024 STATE THESPIAN OFFICERS
Marshall Taylor: Chair
Meet Marshall Taylor, your STO Chair! Marshall is a super enthusiastic high school student from Boone High School and a proud member of Troupe #2845. He has been a fan of theatre since he was a little kid, but it wasn't until 7th grade that he started acting seriously. Since then, he has explored every aspect of theatre, from radio broadcasting to musicals, and tech crew. Marshall loves being involved in theatre as much as he can. As your STO, he's thrilled to represent Iowa and make the already amazing and friendly Iowa Thespians community even stronger.
Maddy Peck: Secretary
Maddy Peck is a current junior at Tipton High School (Troupe #601) and can't wait to be a part of the 2024 state board as the Student Thespian Officer Secretary! She has helped in different aspects of theater since she was about three, and she has loved every second of it. Currently, she is the Vice-President of Troupe #601 and over the years she has been behind the scenes for many different shows. She has worked within different aspects of technical theater including but not limited to, lighting and sound design as well as stage managing for not only her schools shows but also as a part of the C.C. Stoplight Players, her community theater. Outside of theater, Maddy plays trombone in her school's band and is the club's editor of her school's yearbook. She is so excited to connect with and learn from all thespians across the state of Iowa in 2024!
Jilian Garris: Communications
Jilian Garris is a student at Pleasant Valley High School and a member of Troupe 856! She serves as publicity manager on her drama officer board. She enjoys working on and off-stage, especially set construction! Her favorite off-stage experience was working as stage manager for a production of Beauty and the Beast. Her favorite on-stage experience was playing Hector Macqueen in Murder on the Orient Express. Outside of theatre, she serves as a member of the leadership team for her school’s The Gray Matters Collective chapter. In her free time, she likes to work on arts and crafts, writing, and is learning to embroider. She can’t wait to meet and communicate with thespians across Iowa!
Natalie Thuerauf: Advocacy
Natalie Thuerauf is a part of Troupe #1470 from Mount Vernon. Natalie is a big theatre, choir, and band kid in school. She is in color guard and plays the flute along with doing sound and acting in the fall plays. She does non theatre activities as well, such as showing pigs in her 4-H group and dance. Furthermore, she enjoys being outside and working on the farm with her dad! She is so excited to serve the thespians of Iowa and advocate for them!
Atiana Pilipovic: Membership
Atiana Pilipovic is a junior at Waukee High School and is so incredibly hyped to serve as this year’s Membership Chair. She is also serving as the Fundraising Chair for Troupe #1451 this year!
