SANDBOX - All-State Cabaret

Iowa All-State Cabaret 2021

The All-State Cabaret is an exciting event that will open our Virtual Festival, featuring performances from across the state. Each school participating in the Virtual Festival may submit pre-recorded musical theatre performances to be considered for the All-State Cabaret. These submissions should be recordings of students performing a musical theatre song. Schools may submit more than one video for consideration, but we may not be able to include all submissions in the final cabaret. Guidelines for this year's cabaret are as follows:

This year's Iowa Thespian Festival theme is CARNIVAL. Schools are encouraged to submit a song they feel represents this theme.

  • Song selection is up to each individual school and/or group. We request that song selections fall in the 2-4 minute range.
  • Submissions should NOT be the same as those submitted for either Thespys or scholarship consideration.

To submit a piece for this year's All-State Virtual Cabaret, please complete the following:
  • Fill out and submit the All-State Cabaret Participation Form for EACH performance submission. The form link can be found on this page.
  • Video submissions can be emailed or shared via Google Drive to All-State Cabaret Coordinator Steph DeLacy at stephanie.delacy@gmail.com.
  • The deadline for these submissions is February 15, 2021.
