 Hello Iowa Thespians! Welcome to the -ber months! Fall is the best time of year with the weather finally starting to turn and rehearsals beginning for fall productions. With the start of the school year comes a ton of announcements! Below are updates from EdTA / Iowa Thespians: Sign-Up to Attend the Iowa Thespian Festival Registration for the 2026 Iowa Thespian Festival is NOW OPEN! The festival will be held Friday, November 13 - Saturday, November 14 at the University of Northern Iowa. 2027 Iowa Thespian All-State Production: THE PROM We are excited to announce an All-State Production to be performed on the mainstage of the 2027 Iowa Thespian Festival: The Prom! This production will involve students from across the state as performers and crew members. More information will be available on the All-State Production Page in the coming weeks, but we wanted to share this exciting announcement with you first. We hope you will encourage your students to audition / apply. Help us build a PROM for EVERYONE! Iowa Thespians Updated Address & W-9 We have been doing some behind-the-scenes work to increase our organizational efficiency and make it easier to support the Iowa Thespian delegation. As a result, we have an updated mailing address and an Updated W-9 to match! If you are sending anything to Iowa Thespians (such as festival registration checks), please update our information in your systems! Iowa Thespians PO Box 398 Waukee, IA 50263 Leadership Day 2026 Recap Last month, students gathered from across the state at Boone High School to take part in collaborative leadership activities led by our current State Thespian Officers! It was a great day of learning and relationship building. Thank you to everyone who brought students to this event. Be sure to Save the Date for our 2027 Leadership Day that will take place at Lewis Central High School on Saturday, August 7, 2027. Join the Iowa Thespian Chapter Board | Secretary Applications Open! At the end of this calendar year, the Secretary position on the Iowa Thespian Chapter Board will be opening up. We would love to have you join our team! Consider submitting your candidacy to serve on the Iowa Thespian Chapter Board. The Secretary position will serve a term from January 2027 - January 2030. You can learn more about the position and submit your application HERE. The Candidate Submission Form is due September 30th. Iowa Thespians Performance Calendar 2026 / 2027 Help us promote your productions for the upcoming year! Take a quick moment to fill out the Iowa Thespians Production Calendar Form so that we can add your shows to our 2026-2027 Production Calendar on our website and promote them across social media. We hope to send as many State Thespian Officers to see and promote your productions as possible! STO Newsletters | Sign-Up Today! Did you know that your 2026 State Thespian Officers have a Newsletter tailored for your students? Check out the STO September Newsletter and share with your students.
