University of Northern Colorado to offer continuing education credit

Are you planning on coming to festival? If so, would you like to earn a (continuing education) semester credit at the same time? For a small fee can and a couple post-festival assignments you can earn some college credit via The University of Northern Colorado. If interested, read the information below as well as the attached materials.

1. Review the syllabus and course information, technological and course requirements and deadlines. Any questions or concerns about your capability to complete the course requirements should be addressed with the instructor: Mary Schuttler at mary.schuttler@unco.edu. Once your registration form is submitted to Extended Studies there will NOT be any refunds approved.
2. Complete the registration form and email it to mary.schuttler@unco.edu or fax it in care of Mary Schuttler to 970/351-4897.
3. Dr. Schuttler will verify the information and forward it to the Office of Extended Studies.
4. Once we get you registered, we will email you UNC email address and instructions on activating your account and getting your UNC personal data number (which we call our "Bear Number"). We will mail you a confirmation of your registration.
5. You can proceed to activating your student account and getting into your online course. There are support resources and tutorials on the blackboard site at http://www.unco.edu/blackboard/student.html
6. You will need to access Blackboard for all course materials and submit your completed work under "Assignments."
7. The course will close at midnight on December 9, 2011 and no further work will be permitted. Grades will be submitted to the University and you will be able to order an official transcript of this course January 2, 2012.

Please read the syllabus thoroughly before you register, and let me know if you have any questions. Attached are the three necessary forms, and you may adjust them as needed. The only stipulation is that teachers must have at least 15 contact hours for the one credit.
