For Individuals Who Already Have a Twitter Account

• Login to your Twitter Account.
• Find the Iowa Thespian Festival Twitter account, called “IowaThesFest11”.
  • Once on your Twitter homepage, find the “Search” box, located at the top of the page next to the Twitter logo.
  • Type “IowaThesFest11” into the search box and hit enter.
  • On the next page, click on IowaThesFest11.
• Sign up to ‘follow’ the Iowa Thespian Festival Twitter account.
• On the right side of the page, click on the button labeled “Follow” (this button will have a small green circle with a white plus sign inside of it). You are now ‘following’ the Iowa Thespian Festival Twitter account.
• Sign up to receive text message updates from the Iowa Thespian Festival Twitter account.
  • Next to the button labeled “Following”, click on the small circular button containing a cell phone symbol. This will result in a pop-up, asking you if you would like to activate text messaging to your phone.
  • Click “Ok”.
  • On the next page, type your phone number into the appropriate space.
  • Click “Start”.
  • Send a text message with just the word “GO” to the number “40404”. Twitter will then send you a verification text in return.
  • Click “Save” at the bottom of the page You are now set up to receive text message updates from the Iowa Thespian Festival Twitter account!

For Individuals Who Do Not Already Have a Twitter Account

• Create a Twitter Account.
  • Go to www.twitter.com.
  • Under the heading “New to Twitter?” type in the following information:
    • Your name
    • Your e-mail address
    • A password you will remember
    • Click “Sign Up”
  • On the next page, type your desired username into the appropriate box.
  • Click “Create my account”.
• Confirm your Twitter Account.
  • Go to your e-mail inbox and click on the confirmation e-mail sent by Twitter.
  • Confirm your account by clicking on the hyperlink within the e-mail 3. Return to your e-mail inbox, click on the “Welcome to Twitter” e-mail.
  • Click on “look for your friends” within the e-mail (this will take you to your Twitter homepage).
  • Find the Iowa Thespian Festival Twitter account, called “IowaThesFest11”.
  • Once on your Twitter homepage, find the “Search” box, located at the top of the page next to the Twitter logo.
  • Type “IowaThesFest11” into the search box and hit enter.
  • On the next page, click on IowaThesFest11.
• Sign up to ‘follow’ the Iowa Thespian Festival Twitter account.
